Today
Today we travelled around town taking photos of Craig's work for our website in the making and it was lovely seeing his beautiful work and hearing the kind and grateful words from the clients.
Then when Bridie came home from school she told me how much she misses Craig as he is working away at the moment.
Bridie has been ringing him when she wakes in the morning and then before bed.
Watching her light up and hold this beautiful conversation with her dad this afternoon was magical.
That little moment of words between the two was needed to complete Bridie's day and to complete Craig's day.
I tucked both of my little angel's in bed tonight and watched Bridie pinning a picture of Craig on her bed next to her pillow then looking at it. I told her that dad will be home in a few days and she said, " I just don't know why he can't come home everyday, I miss him so much".
Craig is Bridie's love, her dad, her someone she holds so dearly in her heart and trust so purely.
I think we all get busy and keep moving day to day and forgetting the important moments and people in our lives.
Today Bridie and the clients of ours reminded me of the importance of Craig in our lives, the happiness he gives to us and others in his work and personality.
The relationship he has built with his little girl and little man, he is a lovely part of our lives. He completes our family and look forward to his return.
To watch a five year old care and worry so much about her dad is lovely. A relationship built and nurtured over Bridie's five precious years.
