Balun you make me smile...

I find such joy in little things like,
When I pick Balun up from Kindy he always finds a stick to bring home. Yesterday it was a tiny stick, not much of a stick but he thought it deserved to be chosen and placed in his bag.
When he got home the first thing was to take that stick out of his bag and use it all afternoon.
It has a place under his bed with the 30 other sticks he has collected.

I then got to sit down and make up was applied to me.
The gentle touch of a little boys finger wiping colours over my eyes, cheeks and neck.
He smiled as he was doing it, "you look good mum."

Today I had to leave him quickly as I had to rush off to help Bridie at school. The whole way there he insisted that I stay at Kindy for the morning, we finally came to an agreement, " mum if you pick me the nicest flower and we can light a fire tonight under the stars you can leave me.
I just love those moments and little words.

And lastly I bought a pair of blue earrings, they are only tiny but Balun was the only person in my world to notice them, "your earing's are nice mum."
