A moment

I was talking to Bridie the other day and we chatted about the year that has passed and the year ahead of us.
I told Bridie that on my walk this morning I was thinking about being a mum.
I told her that I am just a girl who has never been a mum to a little baby, a seven year old girl and 5year old boy before, it is all new to me, everyday is a new day.
I told her that I promise to be there for her and her two brothers, love them and keep them safe. I am just a mummy who might cry, make a mistake but I will never stop being a mum and trying to be the best mum I can be.

Bridie smiled and just stared at me and then smiled again.
