Moments
Some lovely moments I have had..
My little boy telling me today that I look nice as he touches my hand then twirles my hair.
Bally you have melted my heart.
I have been teaching Balun, well practicing with Balun different sounds and words as he struggles with the pronunciation of them. After a few words and sounds he got a bit cranky and said, " no more, can't do it, my mouth is in the pond". Bally your a funny little man.
Taking a different street on my walk this morning, it was lovely. An old path sprinkled with little needle type leaves and an old tree which weeped above this beautiful path. If only I had taken my camera to share it with you.
Watching the movie moneyball ( a baseball film based on true events).
In one part Billy Beane the main character was shown a clip of a man scoring a home run. This man did not stop to look or even think he could hit a home run, so he ran as hard as he could to get to first base.
He fell over but recovered as quick as he could and kept going. The opponent team were laughing and congratulating him and some yelling to stop, but he never believed he could achieve that so ran his guts out.
It was shown to Billy Beane to make him stop and take in his achievments and what he had done over the year to change the game of baseball and how much he had grown and worked.
Like a lot of us, we achieve so much, grow and work hard but we don't stop and acknowledge our efforts, our achievments. Sometimes we don't think our life, our efforts are enough or worthy, but smile a little smile and be proud of you.
Talking to a dear friend on the weekend and clearing the air and speaking about all those wonderful, tough, sad and beautiful moments friends should talk about. Sarah it was lovely xxx
The hope for the new year and possibilities.
Watching my dad carry Balun up the street from his house to ours.
Eating chocolate tonight once the kids go bed.
Goodnight.
