Little things

The little things in my life I take for granted and it is not until the past week that I have stopped and appreciated, loved my life more, stopped and stayed in a moment, cried in a moment, laughed in a moment.
I wanted to share some of my moments in my life that made my week and made me, me!

Finding the phone in the fridge because where else would it be.

Our dwarf lemon tree is finally growing fruit, the excitement those little lemons bought to my children was wonderful. We have been waiting so long for it to bear fruit and to a child that must have seemed forever. the fruit is here, it is growing.

Prepping our home to be painted, our home has not been painted, it is nice to see soffits being replaced, paint scrapped back, the kids climbing over and under the trestles and the wonder it brings of how our home will look to be finally painted. A warm colour wrapped around the walls of our home.

Balun asks me each night when my Octopus course is on, he means photography course. He just can't get those sounds together, octopus sounds close enough and mum knows what I mean. I wont have those muddled words to smile to soon. My little boy is growing up so ever quickly.

A friend who does an exercise class with me wears a beautiful big red rose in her hair and paints her lips red, it always brings a smile to my face and colour to the room.

Reading last night to the kids and the story described the deepest spot in the river, the "deepest ever spot" and the highest rock as the "highest ever rock." A cute way of describing depth and height.

We were talking about things we can do and cant do, Bridie said I can be kind. It made me smile as she is a kind little soul and not afraid to say it out loud.

Sitting around my sisters table creating. We made fairy wands, xmas decorations, xmas baubles, necklaces, hair clips, fairy homes and everything else in between. It was the most delightful night with the beautiful craft supplies we gathered earlier that day with the kids. It was a little bit magical and a little inspiring.

Laughing at and with my Craig last night as we sat on the steps in the cool air under the stars and talked about our days.

Receiving small delicate kisses each morning from Balun on my lips as I drop him off to Kindy, they would have to be the sweetest, softest most beautiful kisses EVER.

My Balun finding a button buried in the sandpit at Kindy and carefully holding it, washing it and keeping it safe to bring home and show me. Buttons are pretty special in my family as our little girl we lost earlier this year in my second trimester was named Buttons. Balun spoke to his teacher about Buttons . Balun's teacher came to me quietly at the end of the day to tell me of his find and loved how Balun had the love for and understanding of his little sister he had never met. He put his button on his window sill that night for Buttons star to shine on it.

Putting music on each morning as we get ready for our day, making our mornings happy before we all part each other.

Morning cuddles with two beautiful children and Craig, it is always nice to have his arms wrap around me and little children fill my lap.

A letter from a dear friend and writing a letter to a dear friend. It is so great sitting and writing words that come from your heart.

Watching my little girl play with friends at a birthday party in a big white fairy dress.
