How big and brave

For the past week my little boy has had the weight of the world on his shoulders about a decision he felt he needed to make.
It was not a big decision to me but as I tell him, we are all different and being Balun this decision sat heavy in his little body and was important to him.
So the day before the decision was to be made he sat on my bench and said, "mum, (pausing for a moment) I have finally made a decision, but I feel shy about it".
I knew immediately what the decision was as we spoke and spoke of his thoughts on this all week and I hoped I did not once let him know his thoughts were a bother or too heavy.
With this little person I so much want him to be able to express himself otherwise it builds up inside.
I looked at him and smiled inside and thought, how big and brave of  him to make a decision on his own, even though inside his little tummy that worry sat heavy in there.

However his heart pulled him in what I believe was the right direction and right decision.

I felt it was the right decision because he followed his heart and he gently smiled as he spoke.
