Unfinished work

A hot summers day, the kids are still sleeping and I am fiddling.
I have half prepared a soup for dinner, wrote a card for my friend, wrapped a present for a three year old, invoiced, quoted and paid bills, cleaned windows, watered plants....
I start something and then move onto the next without finishing.
It looks like it will be a day of cooking and unfinished chores around the house.
